Camps Bay is the cosmopolitan gem of the exciting and vibrant city of Cape Town. It is set against the majestic backdrop of the Twelve Apostles mountain range and has one of Cape Town’s largest and most beautiful beaches. Camps Bay caters for a wide variety of people and absolutely everybody can find something to enjoy at any time of the year.

The palm-tree promenade opposite the beach boasts sidewalk cafes, over 20 varied restaurants, and cocktail bars. Local life is casual and in the evening residents and holidaymakers can be seen enjoying cocktails, craft beers or champagne while watching spectacular sunsets. In the background watch the cable car heading up and down Table Mountain. Or experience an entertaining evening at Theatre on The Bay.

Camps Bay offers a wide range of outdoor activities from picnics at smaller nearby beaches, paragliding with spectacular views over the Atlantic seaboard, a short drive to the African open-air curio market at Koeël Bay, scuba diving at Lui Bay and surfing at Glen Beach. Bicycles can be hired on Victoria Road from an hour to an entire day and this is a perfect way to explore the village and surrounding areas. There are plenty of day hikes that start in the area and will lead to the most amazing views over the bay.
